Petting Tigers in Chiang Mai

Back in Thailand! We visited a place in Chiang Mai, where you could go into a cage with Tigers (little cubs up to big cats). They were fairly tame and we were expecting them to be extremely well behaved....well, they’d want to be if you are letting tourists in with them. But surprisingly we still had to sign waivers saying that we wouldn’t sue if they attacked us (why would they....they’re tame aren’t they?)

Well tigers are still dangerous animals and although they allow you to pet them, there are all sorts of rules like: don’t touch their head/face and don’t touch their paws. It turns out that they do actually bite sometimes....the staff guy showed us some scars on his arms from when they got a little too “playful”.

But thankfully we didn’t get bitten :P
